A busy California clinic with less than 20 employees uses Artificial Intelligence to digitally transform the onboarding process.
Staff at a California clinic were tasked with capturing and manually entering new patient information into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) platform. Based on the data in the graph, during a busy month, employees were responsible to manually create 155 new patient records. This process was time consuming and pulled the team away from personal patient interaction and critical tasks.
By deploying a Virtual Health Assistant (VHA) and connecting it to the EHR platform, the bulk of this data entry is now managed automatically by AI. As shown in the graph during the month of October, 94 new patient submissions were automatically created in the EHR system by the VHA. Automating these tasks empowers staff to spend more time caring for patients.
Results
- Faster onboarding
- Improved staff and patient satisfaction
- 60% of visitors use the VHA to educate themselves
- Of patients using the VHA, 40% moved on to schedule a consultation
- Improved understanding of exit points in the onboarding process
